1. Whether KVS follows provisions of admission under RTE Act?
Ans: 10 seats (out of 40 seats) in class I per section are to be filled as per RTE provisions(25% seats) and these seats will be filled by draw of lots from all applications of SC/ST/EWS/BPL/OBC(Non Creamy Layer) who are the resident of Neighborhood/ Differently able taken together.
2. When does the admission process for Class 1 start in KVS and who can apply?
Ans: An advertisement is issued normally by the Regional Office in the local newspapers in the 1st week/2nd week of February giving the admission schedule and inviting parents to register their wards for admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas.
3. How much percentage of reservation is given to handicapped candidates in KVS for admission?
Ans: 03 % (Three) horizontally reservation is given to handicapped candidates for admission in KVS.

4. Does Principal of KVs give any relaxation in age for admission?
Ans: No , as per KVS Admission Guidelines the Principal of the Kendriya Vidyalaya doesn’t have power to give age relaxation for admission. However, the maximum age limit can be relaxed by two years in case of differently able children by the Principal.
